Director Position Open at Seattle University

Seattle University currently has a position open for the Director of the Digital Cultures Program. The position is a full-time, 12 month non-tenure-track Instructor and Director of the Digital Cultures Program. The contract starts on September 1, 2015 and lasts for three years with the possibility of renewal. They are looking for someone who possesses strong leaderships skills in a management role, commitment to the program, and has excellent interpersonal and administrative skills. The following are duties of the Director:
-Administers all aspects of the program, including program development, student recruitment, advising, supervision of DICE faculty, and other duties as assigned.
-Work with the Dean and Associate Dean of the School of New and Continuing Studies and other university faculty and staff to administer a sustainable and innovative interdisciplinary Digital Cultures baccalaureate program designed for part-time adult students

Minimum qualifications include:
-Ph.D. and academic expertise in one or more of the following fields: Digital Cultures/Digital Humanities, Rhetoric/Composition, Communication, English, History, Applied Information Technologies, or a related field
-Background in teaching adult post-traditional students
-Experience creating courses and teaching in online and hybrid formats
-Demonstrated record of excellence as a teacher
-Evidence of success in academic program and curriculum development
-Record of successful scholarship and publication in Digital Cultures
-Minimum of five years teaching experience in higher education
