Indians Facing Online Harassment

According to a study conducted by LIRNEAsia, on the Global South and information technology, one in five internet users in India have reported instances of online harassment. The "Indian Express" article discusses the fact that rural Indian users face more harassment than urban ones. The ways they are being harassed include, being called offensive names, purposely embarrassing users or through cyber-stalking. Many of the victims do not even know why they are being harassed. With the increasing use of the internet, users are having to be more diligent than ever.
