FaceGlória: The New Christian Facebook

Last month, a group of Evangelical Christians in Brazil released their new version of Facebook called FaceGlória. The difference between FaceGlória and Facebook is that the creators filter any information that would be considered inappropriate for Christians. Their goal is to keep their website clean and they have hired a group of 20 volunteers who work to keep it that way. Instead of their being a "Like" button for users, FaceGlória has an "Amen" button to allow people to show their support. They have blocked 600 words from being used on the site in order to ban sexual and violent content. FaceGlória has shown great success so far and have already gained 100,000 users. The creators hope for FaceGlória to continue to grow and reach 10 million users in 2 years. Currently, the website is only in Portuguese, but they are already planning on expanding to other languages.
