Anna Neumaier

Anna Neumaier is professor for religious studies at the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany. Her research focuses on religion and media with a special interest in social media and systematic questions on the transformation of religious authority and community in this regard. Besides, she has done research on the dynamics of religious identity in plural contemporary societies. Her research is based on qualitative methods, including interviews and discourse analysis, and quantitative surveys among users.
