I have been working at the intersection of media, religion and culture for all of my academic life. In the last decade I have been particularly focused on questions of religious education in the midst of digital cultures, and even more specifically, on theological education and digital cultural spaces.
I have written the blog "Tensegrities" since 2003 (religioused.org/tensegrities), and publish in this area (cf: my CV here: http://www2.luthersem.edu/mhess/web/Home.html). Along with Lynn Schofield Clark, I am developing the "Storyfaith.org" site. I have worked with a global group of colleagues to develop the open source religious resource sharing site "Feautor.org."
