Buckinghamshire New University
I have studies Sociology since 2002, and finished my BA in Social Research at the University of Tehran in 2006. I then moved to the UK and studied MA in Media, Culture and Society at the Department of Sociology, University of Birmingham. My MA thesis was concerned with the impacts of the Internet on religious culture of Iranian society, within which I tried to explore the cultural implications of a 'post-modern' technology within a 'traditional society'. I graduated from Birmingham (with Distinction) in 2009, and started a funded PhD project about the use of Web 2.0 technologies in advertising and commercialized communication at Bucks New University, UK (in association with Coventry University).
My research interest includes the Web 2.0 and the Social Media, and their socio-cultural implications.
