Sahana Udupa

Sahana Udupa is a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity in Germany. Her research interests include anthropology of news cultures, comparative media policy and new media and religion. She is currently engaged in an anthropological study on new media and the politics of religious difference in the city of Mumbai in India. Her works have been published in American Ethnologist, Media, Culture and Society, and Economic and Political Weekly, among others.
