Bio Statement: 
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of British Columbia. In 2004, I completed my BMath at the University of Waterloo, and went on to be a University Ministry Associate and Campus Chaplain on various universities across Ontario, Canada. At the same time, I began theological studies at Tyndale University College & Seminary, completing my Master of Divinity in 2008 with a focus on educational ministries. In 2009, I continued to pursue advanced learning in philosophy, theology, and technology at Regent College. My Master of Theology thesis (2011) was titled, The Technologizing of Faith: An Ethnographic Study of the Internet Practices of Christian University Students Evaluated in light of the work of Marshall McLuhan and Albert Borgmann. My research is part of the SSHRC funded How We Learn project. The current phase of research is design & engineering cognition and ethical know-how. Additionally, I am also part of a team analyzing and conceptualizing TechnoTheology. My PhD research is specifically focused on designing "technotheologies," discerning ethics, pedagogies, and spiritualities in maker actor-networks. Other research interests include: actor-network theory (ANT), curriculum studies research, digital literacy and curriculum, digital learning and curriculum, design based research (DBR), design studies, design and technology, educational technologies, ethics, higher education, history of education, maker/hacker culture, pedagogy, philosophy, religion and technology, research design and method, science & technology studies (STS) technology, STEM, technology, theology, value sensitive design (VSD).
