Virtual Conference: Studying Media & Religion

This virtual conference showcases interdisciplinary research from Texas A&M University on the media and religion.

Sponsored by the Melbern G.Glasscock Center for Humanities Research at Texas A&M University members of the 3-year Seminar on Media & Religion present their work on how religion is performed through media in ways that make it an important social and cultural forces in the 21st century in need of further study. Here members present their personal research projects studying various forms of media and their intersections with religion have been informed by a unique collaborative interdisciplinary environment. By focusing on the themes of religious identity and authority individual have been able to map out common questions and themes in their work.
