Canadian technology firms sign Tech for Good Declaration

In light of recent data sharing scandals, 100 representatives of Canada's tech community have signed a public promise to create "better product designs, for the benefit of society." According to Josh O'Kane for The Globe and Mail, this document's goal is to guarantee transparency regarding collected data and create jobs for people whose jobs have been taken over by technology. While this document is a start in progressing the privacy rights of users, some signees say that it's just in early stages of development.
