According to Anjali Uj from Analytics Insight, humans are becoming more and more reliant on technology when practicing their religion, using prayer apps and even robot priests. Ex-Google executive Anthony Levandowski has already created a new “religion” based on the reliance of artificial intelligence that emphasizes “the realization, acceptance and worship of a godhead based on artificial intelligence developed through computer hardware and software.” According to research from Faraday Institute of Science and Religion, there are 3 stages regarding the blend of religion and technology-rejection, adoption and adaption. Their research suggests that there may be an initial negative outcome, but eventually technology will become an essential part of all religions.
