Pakistan Presses U.N. to Ban Islam Criticism

An article from "Human Events" discusses the fact that Pakistan wants to help of the United Nations to enforce Islamic speech codes worldwide. U.N Secretary General Antonio Gutierrez stated that, "While digital technology has provided new areas in which hate speech can thrive, it can also help to monitor activity, target our response and build support for counter-narratives.” However, Pakistan has tried to make social media platforms enforce its law internationally, thus limiting free speech, which has created some debate.
