New article explores Cosmopolitanism and Religious Conflict in Videogames

Rachel Wagner's new article "God in the Game: Cosmopolitanism and Religious Conflict in Videogames" has been pre-released online for the Journal of the American Academy of the Religion . In this piece Wagner puts forth the argument how "video games are more like religion than other modes of digital interaction like social media, web sites, or even emerging free-play digital worlds". She goes on to consider how gaming offers almost religious vision by imposing order on a chaotic environment driven by information overload.
