CFP for conference on Video Games of Concern

There is a call for papers for the “Concerns about Video Games and the Video Games of Concern” conference that will be held January 20-22, 2016 by the Center for Computer Games Research, IT University of Copenhagen. The goal of the conference is to bring together academics that have researched and have interest in video games and the issues that video games can bring. This includes researchers from games studies, social sciences, law, psychology, education, etc., as well as games industry affiliates, members of media regulation agencies and researchers from related fields to discuss the multiplicity of video game concerns.

Possible topics to discuss in an abstract:
-Video game concerns in the family
-Video game controversies and debates
-Concerns of the video games industry
-Minority concerns in video games
-Video game concerns in science
-Legal concerns surrounding video games
-Video game concerns in and across cultures

Submission Information:
Abstracts should be minimum 800 words (not including references), and will be peer reviewed. Abstracts must have references or else they will not be considered. The deadline is December 1, 2015 and the notification of acceptance is December 15, 2015. Please send paper abstracts to concernsconf@itu.dk.
