Pope Francis is second most followed world leader on Twitter

A recent study conducted by public relations company Burson-Marsteller entitled "Twiplomacy" outlines governmental use and influence on Twitter. The study finds that Pope Francis is the second most followed world leader on Twitter at over 7 million followers over his several different accounts, and is the most influential world leader as measured by the number of retweets. Pope Francis averages over 11,000 retweets on his Spanish account.
