Bio Statement: 
Aaron Wong is pursuing a PhD in liturgical studies at Boston University's School of Theology, where he is also associated with the Center for Global Christianity and Mission. His research interests include East Syrian Christian liturgical practices in medieval China, 19th-century German missions in Guangdong, and worship theologies of contemporary Chinese immigrant communities in North America. He is interested in exploring the intersection of digital mediation, religious practices, and identity politics of immigrants. His most recent article, "A Genealogy of Breakthroughs: The Family and Education of Wong Tsing-yi (1869-1903)", is published in Review of Religion and Chinese Society (Brill). An article on the politics of eucharistic practices in Hong Kong will be published in Worship, April 2022 (Liturgical Press). Aaron received a Master of Arts in Religion from Yale Divinity School and the Institute of Sacred Music and has music degrees from the Juilliard School and the Peabody Conservatory of The Johns Hopkins University.
