In my work and studies I have been especially interested in the impact of digitalisation in a modern society and how it has affected and will affect not only the role of the churches but also the way the churches give witness of their calling. Right now, I am writing a longish article on digitalisation at the service of Christian witness. It will come out in a book published by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. I have been lecturing on the new possibilities and challenges of digitalisation in church, e.g. at the Bossey Graduate School and several times in my own church. Having attended the Arusha World Mission Conference in 2018 I hoped that the wider issue of digitalisation could have been ecumenically taken up. I was the prime mover of a mobile application called Domini Life which was launched in Finland in December 2017. It has now been downloaded more than 13,000 times worldwide and is today available in three different languages.
