Bio Statement: 
Peter Webster is an historian based in Chichester (UK), with interests in the history of Christianity in late twentieth century Britain, particularly the relation of church and state, evangelicalism, and the religious arts. His book on Michael Ramsey, archbishop of Canterbury, was published by Ashgate in 2015. He has worked for many years at the interface of historical scholarship with digital technologies, at the Institute of Historical Research (University of London) and then at the British Library. He has particular interests in the methodological implication of the archived web as an historical source; in digital history, digital curation, and Open Access publishing (repositories and journals). Since 2014 he has been owner and principal consultant of Webster Research and Consulting, working to understand what users need from digital resources, and with technologists to meet those needs.
