I am Senior Adviser: Religious Archives at the UK National Archives. I am interested in how the historic record of religious life can be created and maintained in an age where digital technologies are increasingly changing the way religion is done and indeed are changing ideas of what religion is. How is the source material upon which researchers in this field depend preserved and made accessible? How will it be preserved for future generations of scholars? What in fact is meant by 'preserved' when so much of this media is so fluid? As a practioner of religion I have web and Facebook sites but as an archives professional I have no expertise in digital media, which is why I am interested in this network.
